VETO

This time I have very nice, and hard task to do. I get order to paint VETO daylily. One of the most modern daylily in the world. And I think that I have to paint it perfect.

As I do all works before, I draw sketch and with black pencil or marker I mark lines, which I use for silk.
Then I take silk, add it on frames and draw my sketch on it. After that I take contour and cover pencil lines. This time I use two different contours. One is basic black and other is new, white. That I use for edges of flower and tops of buds.
After contour was dry, I add colors. That was pretty hard this time, because I use contour on bloom just in edges. That left me no choice to play long with colors, each petal and sepal I have to cover with paints very fast, while colors is not dry.
Some close up photos of how it looks like. I like this view. To make bloom a little realistic I add some veins as like natural daylily blooms has.
Black color give some shadows, and make bloom some shape.
With good light it looks perfect.
Now this silk was in States, where get big frames, and will be ready to reach the new owner - hybridizer of VETO.
